The DVD that comes with the book is an interview/discussion with Doc Shiels about his career and how he developed his persona and style. If you're looking for tricks - they're not here. This is an entertaining seventy minutes spent with one of magic's most intriguing characters, a man who lived the life he chose, answered to no one, developed a new genre in magic, contributed widely with numerous books and magazine articles and achieved international publicity. It will also fill you in on the background to some of the material in The Shiels Effect.

Though not a studio quality production (taped with one camera and no special lighting), it's perfectly watchable and perfectly audible - and hugely entertaining!
