Some portions of this book were published by Chaos International using the authors nom de plume Jack Dracula. Drawing on over twenty years of magickal work in a variety of systems, this book is a forward-looking manual full of new material and techniques created to push the boundaries of contemporary magick. Many new ideas are presented for the mage who is willing to create using the flaming sparks of dark inspiration. Inspired by the great magickal traditions of past millennia, Becoming Magick presents new techniques of sigilisation and gematria, as well as a new system of energy magick based on the Kalas, and Prime Qabalah, a new system of English Gematria. This volume also explores the practical benefits of less explored magickal techniques such as magickal ingestion and working magick during illness.
This work reflects the authors passion for magick in a way that not many other books on the subject have.
Many books on magick are filled with rehashed material from other sources. Oftentimes it appears that the authors have no practical understanding of what they are writing about. That would be like presenting a recipe book filled with recipes which has never been tried out!
This book does not fit into that all too common category.
The author encourages the reader to use their intelligence and to try out new concepts and new techniques. He encourages the development of new magick whilst upholding the old school values.
If you have an interest in ceremonial magick, thelema or chaos magick you will find this book will help you make progress by encouraging free thought, balance and the development of discipline.
