Order Castles of the Third Reich features the Tuetonic Castle at Malbork "Marienburg", a favorite Nazi stomping ground and birth place of the Order Castles. Also featured: Himmler's Wewelsburg castle, SS Bad Tölz, the school at Herrsching, and a complete tour of the Order Castles Falkenburg at Krössinsee, Vogelsang and Sonthofen. Included are photos never seen by the general public and high quality archival footage of each site.
Director R.J. Adams discovered that filming as well as finding these enormous fortress was both a challenge and adventure. For example, for more than sixty years the Polish Government has denied the existance of any such place called "Order Castle Krossinsee". They were completely unwilling to provide us with any information whatsoever. Finding this massive complex was like looking for a needle in a heystack. But not only did we find it, but we were allowed to film it thanks to the help of the American Embassy in Warsaw. Infact, this program marks the first time that all three former Nazi Order Castles have ever been captured on film.
